Padlock Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2026
1. Overview
Padlock is a privacy-first daily number logic puzzle game. All your game data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to any server. We do not operate any servers or databases that store your personal information. This policy explains what data the app handles.
2. No Data Collection
Padlock does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. We do not use analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or any third-party tracking SDKs. Your gameplay behavior is not monitored or recorded by anyone.
3. Local Data Storage
All your game progress, statistics, streaks, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Hive database). This data is completely private and isolated. We have no ability to access, read, or retrieve it.
Data stored locally includes:
- Game progress for daily and practice puzzles
- Statistics per game mode (games played, wins, streaks, guess distributions)
- Global streak tracking across all modes
- App preferences (theme, sound effects, haptic feedback, language)
4. No Accounts or Authentication
Padlock does not require or offer user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no cloud sync. The app works entirely offline.
5. No Network Requests
Padlock does not make any network requests. Daily puzzles are generated deterministically using a date-based seed algorithm (SHA-256), meaning the same puzzle is produced for all players without contacting any server. The app functions fully without an internet connection.
6. No Advertising
Padlock does not display advertisements and does not integrate any advertising SDKs. No advertising identifiers or tracking data is collected.
7. Feedback & Support
If you submit a help request, bug report, or app rating through the in-app forms, the information you provide (name, subject, description, rating) is sent to Google Forms. This submission is entirely voluntary and contains only the data you choose to enter.
8. Your Rights
- You have complete control over your data at all times
- You can delete all data by uninstalling the app
- No data exists on any remote system — there is nothing to request deletion of
9. Children's Privacy
Padlock does not collect any personal information from any user, including children. The app is safe for all ages.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date and communicated through app updates.
